Reported Deaths in Ikea Dresser Recall

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued an Ikea┬ádresser recall. Several different styles of Ikea dressers and chests have reportedly caused the deaths of 6 children and injured to at least 36 more. Shockingly the first death occurred almost 27 years ago. 29 Million Ikea Dresser Recalls According to the CPSC there are about 29 million recalled Ikea dressers including MALM 3-drawer, 4-drawer, 5-drawer, and three 6-drawer models including other models of children’s and adult chests and dressers. Defective Airbag Recall Will Take Years

In 2014 Takada informed federal regulators about a dangerous defect in their airbags. A recent article in┬áConsumer Reports documented that Takada knew they had a defective airbag problem years before they informed the federal regulators. Since 2014 there have been millions of vehicles recalled for the problem; however, it seems this serious problem has only grown in size and scope.
